Purge Homes is an application designed to clean home folder sharepoints of user home folders that no longer have users attached to them. It has two methods of doing this. Cleaning involves moving the appropriate home folders into a folder called Cleaned Users. The server administrator can then pick thru these folders and make sure that no folder gets deleted that should not. This is the "safe" way to run the program.

The second method is to purge the sharepoint of any un-owned folders by deleting them immediately. This method is potentially faster than cleaning, but there is no option to verify the folders before their deletion, and no way to get them back if they should not have been deleted. This is the very un-safe way to run the program.

The sole purpose of this program is the facilitation of the removal of user data. Great care should be used when running this program. Any data deleted cannot be recovered without great work and, possibly, expense, and possibly not at all. There are many chances while running this software to hit "Cancel" and sit back and rethink things. If you are unsure in ANY way about what will happen, I highly recommend that you cancel what you are doing and wait until you are sure. The actions this program takes are NOT UNDOABLE. They are PERMANENT changes that may be impossible to rectify.
